不是在提倡建设环境友好型社会吗，估计又是日本舶来词。
这里的环境友好是指后面的铁、钢材、混凝土。这些东西如何环境友好呢，料想应该是此类产品的生产工艺尽量做到节能减排吧。

The phrase of environment friendliness is come from environment friendly. If you describ something is environment friendly, its meaning is that that will not damage environment or protect environment.
