Hiriya recycling park, is an important site of the Water & Environmental International Press Tour. The main attraction at the Ariel Sharon Park east of Tel Aviv is more than meets the eye: Not only does it contribute essential, green open space to the Dan region; it has become a symbol of renewal in Israeli society. It is rare in Israel for leaders to have a site named for them while they are still alive. It is more bizarre for the object of dedication to be a colossal garbage dump, for decades the country's most conspicuous - and smelliest - eyesore
